The Phoenix Centre is a purpose built community enterprise centre at Paradise Park in Townhill (SA1 6PH). Please see 'Contacts - Bookings' (or email bookings@hcdt.co.uk - 01792 479800) for details of how to book rooms, catering, the sports pitch, IT suite or a place in the nursery for your little ones. The centre provides the following:

13 business units: these are rented by people who either directly provide a service to the community or who are from the community. Units provide a range of services including: Job hunting, CV writing from the Council's Employment Training Team and Want2Work, Health Visiting and other health services from the ABM NHS Trust, Castle Care Ltd, Computer Recycling by the Council's Employment Training Team, support for the blind and visually impaired from Swansea and Gower Talking Magazine, Sports Massage from Mike Aspland and we are glad to have artist Rob Conybear as a long standing resident (pictured with his friend and supporter - BAFTA award-winning comedian Paul Merton).

Conference Rooms: these are available for hire and are well used by between 30 and 40 regular customers - from community members, to a range of public service agencies and colleagues from the voluntary sector.

A 3/4 size All Weather Sports Pitch: this is available for hire by individuals and groups, and is exteremely well used during the football season by local sports clubs.

Paradise Community Nursery: the Hill CDT is the registered care provider for the nursery. The staff team is experienced and knowledegable, caring and attentive, and our primary aim is to ensure children have their needs met and receive first clas care during their time with us. We had a great inspection report in 2008 - something we're all rightly proud of.

The New Phoenix Cafe: this is the heart of the building. Run by Leanne Dower, it provides a welcoming meeting place for the community and top food at great prices. The cafe also provides a first class catering service.

A Library and IT Suite with Free Internet Access: this is a Council run service which has been a resounding success since first opening in 2001. In the first year we were hoping to see 12,000 visitors to the library but we actually had 36,000 people coming therough the door! The facility remains very well used and equally well cared for.

Our IT Suite offers a range of computer training opportunities from basic PC awareness, to internet, email and digital photography.

Open Access Play Facilities: We have a playground for the under 8s to the front of the facility and a floodlit Multi Use Games Area to the rear.

... and Secure Car Parking! Yes we have free car parking around the building so there are no fees to pay.
